We visited the park in a weekday morning (10.30 am).
The queue was not long (considering what we saw in most theme parks). There were lines of students (I guess they were the non-locals). There were also some tourists.
The park was considered relatively quiet. The stalls were not opened yet. It's like a sleepy park, not fully awakened yet. The park started to get busy after noon, where we saw bus loads of mainland visitors entering the park.
Here, the cable ride was a highlight (which I could still remembered since my first visit). It went by the side of the mountain with a wide-angle seaview. Oh yes, it was steep, too!
Views from the cable car.
The Ocean Park was known for its animal performances, with dolphins and seals. Unfortunately, there was no such shows on Friday. What a disappointment!
The consolation was, there's a big aquarium where we saw some animals, and a man-made sanctuary where some pandas were kept:
Indeed, it was less exciting and colourful than the Epson Aqua Park Shinagawa that I visited last December in Tokyo, Japan.
Well, with the many theme parks out there, there's much that Ocean Park needed to do in order to create the desired experience for its visitors. I felt, after this trip, it's a place that we could give it a miss, actually, especially for those well-travelled.
